Craig Shinn

Craig provides executive leadership to the CPP staff. He helped found the CPP in partnership with the International Association for Public Participation, Casdace Chapter. Craig is an Associate Director of the Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) in the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government at Portland State University, and an Associate Professor of Public Administration. He manages the Natural Resource Policy and Administration specialization in the Masters of Public Administration program. Craig received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington.

Paul Leistner

Paul is the CPP's Executive Director. Paul is a doctoral candidate in Portland State University's School of Urban Studies and Planning. His areas of specialization are policy analysis, public involvement, and community organizing. Paul holds Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.

Paul is actively involved in Portland's neighborhood association program, and chairs the board of directors of Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Program, Inc., which provides support to to Portland's largest coalition of neighborhoods.

Julie Odell

Julie is the CPP's current Associate Director and past Executive Director. She received her Ph.D. in 2005 from Portland State University's School of Urban Studies and Planning. Her areas of specialization are urban planning, public involvement, and communications. She also holds a Masters degree in Urban Studies and a B.S. in Community Development from Portland State University.
